Gas Vs Electric Cars, Who you got?

Lets start off with the A side shall we? Gas Cars.

The Dodge Challenger. Good ole American Muscle, a typical first thought when you think of a gas guzzler.

Gas, Gasoline, Petrol, these being the names many of us in our daily life use as a term for the liquid we fill our cars with. Gas type cars provide a wide range of models from family sedans to quick and stylish convertibles to now more modern crossovers. Hear the roar from the engine of a Challenger from a mile away or the meow of a corolla from your bedroom window, the choice is all yours. A mile away is the distance for most gas stations and fill-up doesn’t take several hours. Time isn’t a worry for you. With those two points checked off in our favor, what’s next? Time to bring in the big boys, affordability and maintenance. As everyday people we might not be able to afford that brand new Audi, it’s okay though we use gas cars and Autotrader.com is a thing with thousands of options. Options that if they were to get damaged a mechanic would be able to fix, no need for that specialist. Business within the Gas automotive field are still making billions of dollars contrary to popular belief and with advancements to technology offer increasingly more efficient gas powered engines so both you and your super Eco-friendly neighbor are sure to be pleased. As Pierre Gauillat a manager at the British funded Carbon Trust, once said about the electric competitors, “I don’t see any major breakthrough on the horizon”.(NYTimes) To conclude, if it isn’t broke don’t fix it, just keep on adapting to technology and create better standards for what gas powered cars are and what they have potential for.

The difference is several hours.

Enough about Petrol, its time to get with the times. Lets see what the up and coming Electrics Cars have to say

2017 Tesla Model X – All Electric

405KM/H

Yesterday’s dreams are today’s reality? It isn’t a flying car yet but it is a renewable energy source motor that is both, cost and fuel efficient. The electric motor stunt the market when the concept became into existence, and followed by a bunch of myths stating the electric motor will have a bunch of problems, to not keeping up with the speed of gas powered motors. However that’s all those were, just myths. We have seen a huge beneficial change in our economy due to a cleaner emission automobile that the government itself is giving out Emissions Tax Credits when you purchase a zero emissions car. If you are not that environmentally friendly and care more about being the cool guy at work that hosts parties and drives a sleek looking car, than the newly advanced look to the electric vehicles are the one of one in the industry. As we all know it’s not just the beauty from the outside that counts, also the beauty within and by that I obviously mean horsepower, with the new Tesla model X pushing 400 KM/H you know you will be dominating the race track while still being Eco-friendly, win-win in our eyes, don’t you agree?  Even though the upfront cost initially is high in relation to gas, in the long run the pros of electric motor will exceed the cons and financially and economically you will be saving. Another plus side, electric cars will hold the depreciation value at a certain cap, meanwhile the gas powered engines will eventually depreciate until the final value is zero.

Decisions Decision… Time to address the Elephant in the room. Gas or Electric?

Here it is, it all comes down to this choice… gas or electric? Let’s take a minute and go over a quick refresher before you make that decision. Some points to start, first the pricing. It’s fair to say that although the pricing of an electric may be more money on the initial purchase and while factoring in specialize maintenance it’s still a better LONG term idea to go electric. Point Electric. Next, variety in which Gas cars have about a 100 year head start with many brands comprised of many models and packages to choose from. Point Gas. Let’s switch things up, with the good comes a necessary evil, one that can’t be avoided but contributes to making a decision.  Let’s start with the electric motors. Ask yourself this, do you like traveling? How about road trips? If you said yes, tough news because the convenience of getting to a gas station in a matter of a few Kilometer, will become more of a luxury because in electric powered engine you need a specialized charging station. Moving on now to Gas motors. Now in this case ask yourself, do I care about climate change, polluting the environment or have an Eco-friendly consciousness? If you said yes, gas may go against your morals/values. By that I mean gas puts out high emissions that contribute to global warming resulting in climate change and economic fall. With the points that have been presented, now picture yourself in the driver’s seat behind the steering wheel, which motor are you picking? Gas or Electric?
